Carly tell us : ” I found this piece from my supplier who had a warehouse sale of some pieces she didn’t have time to do and I believe I paid $120 for it. It’s a beast and weighs a ton! I absolutely love the curves and overall design of this piece so I accentuated that with the gold paint. This piece will be used in our nursery when our first born arrives in December.”

How Carly transformed this beast into the beauty that it is.

“When I first got this piece I wanted to jump in right away which I did, I originally wanted to sand down the top and stain the wood to have a natural surface but the paint or coating that was on there originally was extremely difficult to get off and let’s be honest….who likes to sand? So I scrapped that and just decided to paint it with a color that I’ve been dying to use on a large piece, Born on the 4th, because navy blues are my absolute fave. I’ve done a few pieces using APC and I find it extremely easy to work with, it does dry fast which is great for people like myself who have zero patience.”

If you’ve ever thought repainting furniture is too time consuming, this piece shows you that you can skip the ‘sanding’ part of the process and be done in no time! Thank you Carly for this amazing piece & showing us how easy it is to transform pieces that we love.
