Amber Waves of Grain Color Blog!

You can describe Amber Waves of Grain as a warm nutty yellow, mustard, or a soft gold.  It has been one of our color stars from the beginning and it still reigns supreme!

Twigs and Twine in Lakewood, CO, painted a vintage knitting basket in Amber Waves of Grain, and it is a perfect choice for this piece, one that is meant to hold skeins of yarn that will be carefully fashioned into a soft handmade treasure!

The Junk Street Market in Katy, TX, painted a rustic hutch with Amber Waves of Grain, the hutch was distressed and finished with American Paint Company Clear Wax, making it a perfect piece for storage or display your precious quilts or memorabilia! We love the wire in cabinet fronts too!

An unusual and uncommon chair was painted with Amber Waves of Grain and APC’s Brown Glaze over top to accent the beautifully carved details on the spindles, finished with Dark Wax, and original red velvet upholstery was painted with Wild Horses and Dark Wax to make it a prize winning piece, panted by Marketplace on Main, Savannah, TN!

UNika Custom Creations, LLC in Middletown, DE, transformed a beautiful Mid Century Modern hutch into this sweet country cabinet painted with American Paint Company,‬ Amber Waves of Grain inside the hutch and Country Barn for its exterior, lightly distressed and finished with APC Top Coat.  Nothing says ‪‎country‬ like ‪‎chicken‬ wire, only this wire is dark and smaller in size. Sweet!  This would fit great in a bathroom too for towels and extra needed storage! Notice the ‪‎rooster‬ knob adding to the charm of this solid piece & lined with a subtle checkered pattern to accent Amber Waves of Grain.
