Tarnished platter over cannonball, lightly distressed and finished with wax and a little black mica”.
American Paint Company Chalk Clay and Mineral paints are perfect for layering colors and replicating beautiful finishes that appear to have been around for ages. Karen Gideon, owner of Junk in My Trunk, Topeka, KS, shares an excellent example of her well painted layered finish! Karen used, Tarnished Platter over Desert Cactus and sealed it with top coat, then she used a champagne glaze to craft her design and we love this dramatic look!
Another beautifully elegant buffet by Shelly Andrade, owner of Shizzle Designs, Jenison, MI, Shelly never disappoints us with her creative application of paint and finishes. Shelly used, “Tarnished Platter, white glaze, clear wax and in some areas where I got a little carried away with the white glaze, I mixed some tarnished platter in with the wax”.
They say its all in the details! A splash of Tarnished Platter, inside the drawers of this beautiful buffet painted by Kate Koch, owner of Simply Beautiful Spaces, Stafford, VA, and it will surely make this piece a treasured heirloom that will create interest and excitement in any room!
