Don’t Be Shy, Go Bold with Coral Reef

American Paint Company offers a wide array of beautiful, bold, and eye-catching colors. It’s easy to produce a statement piece and add a little zest to your decor. Tasha from Lakewood, Colorado shares with us her story of stepping out of her neutral comfort zone to make something bold! Now, she will be the first to tell you don’t be shy, go bold with Coral Reef!

 

Shopping at Twigs & Twine, Tasha picked Coral Reef, a true, perfect coral color for the exterior of her piece. She also picked up some Uncle Sam, a true, pure white color for the contrasting interior and some Vintage Antiquing Wax to seal her project.

 

 

 

In Tasha’s own words, she states:

This piece was not a hard piece but it was time consuming. It had been painted before and I had tired to sand it but the color would not come off. That’s when I decided to use American Paint Company Paint in Coral Reef and Uncle Sam. I have always wanted to paint a piece in a bold color, I tend to shy away from them as I like more neutrals. I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone with the colors. To soften the coral I mixed the clear and antique waxes for that worldly feel.

 

 

That hutch is now quite the looker! Going bold definitely paid off for Tasha! We couldn’t be more thrilled about how her piece turned out.
