Another week has gone by and it is getting colder many places! Good thing our paintriots can continue to create beautiful treasures indoors with our all natural zero VOC chalk/clay paint and with no hazardous chemicals in our finishes. Here’s a few things they’ve been working on.

What will you be inspired to paint this week?
I am doing a large desk in Lincoln’s Hat with dark wax finish. If I steel wool the finish before waxing it looks like a grey,if I wax right over the surface it looks dark olive green.
We have not encountered this happening, there may be a reaction of a finish underneath what you painted. In the future, when you paint with the back or other dark colors, the colors will deepen when waxed or finished.
My daughter is coming to AZ this spring to re-finish our dining room table. She has painted many pieces with this paint but I’d like to see more color samples than what you show here, do you have more of a variety? How durable is the paint?
The paint is as durable as any other painted finish you would use. All surfaces are susceptible to gouges and scratches. It is best to place protective felt pads on the bottom of any scratchy metal item that would be placed on the table and always use place mats or other protective items as you would for any wood surface.
