Using a quilt for color inspiration is a perfect way to choose colors that complement your decor and living space, and an American Paint Company fan did just that! Terra-Lee Meijer, created a wonderful color coordinated cupboard to go with a much loved quilt in complementary colors!
I found an old piece at a garage sale, and fell in love with it. It had a lot of water damage, so I decided to paint it.
I was inspired by some colours in a quilt… And it came together beautifully!
I used Amber Waves of Grain for the exterior, and Fireworks Red for the cupboards and drawers. I used APC Clear Wax for the finish.
It was super easy to work with, straight forward application. No odors which I appreciate!!
We did not take a class, but watched YouTube as well as took instructional and best practice ideas from our American Paint Company Authorized Retailer at our local Cranbrook Paint and Moore.
We’ve never done anything like this before, but now we’re excited and want to do so much more!
