Update Your Desk with American Paint Company’s Beach Glass Color

If you’ve got a desk, or any furniture piece that has seen better days, don’t throw it out! Give it a facelift! Some pieces have as much of a story as you or me and by using American Paint Company’s Clay, Chalk, Mineral Base paint, you can keep the story but get a fresh new look. In this post we’ll share how you can update your desk with American Paint Company’s Beach Glass color.

American Paint Company’s Beach Glass color is a perfect blue-green beach color. It is bound to make a statement wherever you decide to use it.

Keep the Uniqueness with a New Coat of Paint

One of the many benefits to using American Paint Company’s Clay, Chalk, Mineral Base paint is its utility with water. Tabitha, our DIYer for this week, found that she could easily dilute the paint with a little bit of water for a more even application. Also, after she finished painting the whole desk, she applied an extra stroke with just water to even out the brush strokes on her desk.

Shopping at Fresh Vintage, she also picked up some of our Top Coat to seal her beautiful desk. Top Coat sealer is durable sealer that goes on clear and leaves your piece with a professional shiny finish. As one of our most popular all-natural sealers, it’s also recommended for beginners as it is easily applied but gives long-lasting professional results!

Tabitha kept the original chevron design on the drawers with the antique pulls, and was thus able to keep the original uniqueness of this piece. It’s amazing what some new color can do!
