Kim and Denise are two old souls who became friends in high school and were reunited several years later when our young families moved onto the same street, Larkspur Circle.
Sharing a passion for design, antiques and painted furniture, we decided to launch our own business together and in 2011 created Larkspur Interiors.
We have done several shows in the Philadelphia area and have a booth in a local antique mall in South Jersey called Antiques Only, But Not Only Antiques.
We recently became a retailer of American Paint Company products after realizing there was a paint need in the South Jersey area.
Shopping around for a supplier, it quickly became clear that American Paint Company was the best fit for Larkspur Interiors. We have already held our first workshop and there is already a demand for another one!
Here is a peek at the display we created to merchandise our American Paint Company products.
We love American Paint Company natural chalk and clay paints! Here are some of the pieces we have painted with this amazing eco-friendly product:
Mini tart tins used as flowers in Momma’s Lipstick, Shining Seas, Fireworks Red, Purple Mountain Majesty and Orange Grove. Sky is Plymouth Rock, sun is Heaven’s Light and grass is National Forest.
Decorative piece painted Liberty, a wash of Home Plate and Brown Glaze mixed with Clear Glaze and Copper Mica added, finished with Top Coat.
Tin mirror frame painted in Waistcoat, finished in Brown Glaze mixed with Copper Mica and finished with Top Coat.
Dresser frame in Treasure Box, side panels in Surfboard, drawers in a wash of Home Plate and hardware also Surfboard. Finished with Clear Wax.
Lamp re-vamp using Nana’s Cupboard. Finished with Top Coat.
Tin painted using Treasure Box, wash of Navajo White, Black and Clear Glaze mixed and finished with Top Coat.
I LOVE your dresser. It reminds me of a beautiful and expensive cashmere sweater. Best wishes to you and your beautiful shop. You’re a star and it shows brilliantly.
Nice work! Everything you’ve painted looks fabulous and you have such a cute booth and a wonderful American Paint Co. display! I hope you both have continued success!!
